Tour de Newton

Fifth Annual Tour de Newton 2017 – Father’s Day, June 18th, 2017

Starting at 9:30 a.m.

Registration is now OPEN

Go to:  https://www.bikereg.com/tour-de-newton

PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED:  The Tour de Newton is a 20 mile ride that goes through each of the 13 villages with riders starting in the village of their choice, stopping at each village along the way where they were greeted with history, water and treats, including the beloved village buttons.  This ride is a relatively leisurely ride for most of the route with some hills.  We will be riding in groups with a ride leader and sweep “no rider left behind”.  The route is also designed in a loop so that riders can choose to do only part of the ride and have a fairly straight forward way back to where they started.  Most riders finish in 3 hours.

In addition to the traditional Tour de Newton route, we will have 2 additional routes.  The Petite Tour, a 3 mile route starting and ending at Newton City Hall. For more experienced riders who want to move a little faster, we have the Contra Tour, starting and ending in Newton Centre, and going in the opposite direction from the other 14 tours. All ride start times are 9:30 sharp. Please arrive early!

New this year:

We have simplified our registration process with 2 rate tiers – child (3-18) & adult (19+).  Children under 3 are still free.

We are offering a discount (2015 prices) for the month of April only – $5 child/$10 adult.

As of May 2nd, rates will be $7 child/$12 adult

We are also looking to recruit more leaders and sweeps.  If you are an experienced, confident cyclist, please contact tourdenewtonma@gmail.com  to volunteer.

You get a great yellow shirt and RIDE FOR FREE.
