Newton Free Library is hosting a zoom presentation by Angie Schmitt, author of Right of Way: Race, Class and the Silent Epidemic of Pedestrian Deaths in America at the Newton Free Library. This event is being co-sponsored by Bike Newton and Green Newton, and is part of the Green Newton series. Ms. Schmitt is one of the best known writers on the topic of sustainable transportation in the U.S. She will discuss how road design and other factors are putting people needlessly at risk. She will also address how cities can implement better connected and safer conditions for walking, biking and other forms of active transportation.
