Bike Together Waltham (BTW) conducts group rides on the last Saturday of the month (but this ride now postponed to Sunday, May 31), and today we will join their ride, and meet and mingle with our biking compatriots from Waltham! We will depart from Star Market, 33 Austin St. in Newtonville at 11:30 am Sunday May 31, and bike along the Charles River Trail to Waltham City Hall where the BTW ride starts at noon. The BTW ride then ventures through local neighborhoods to Watertown before returning to Waltham, about five miles, and finishes on Moody St, where riders who wish to can have lunch outdoors. We’ll then bike back along the Charles to Newtonville.
This is a family-friendly, “no-rider-left-behind” ride and all ages are invited, but all young children must be accompanied by an adult. Bike helmets are required. Total 12 miles roundtrip. Be sure to check bikenewton.org for last-minute changes or weather cancellations.
