The classic Chinatown ride is back! Join us for a nice ride along the Charles River to the Hatch Shell, past the Public Gardens and through a bit of downtown Boston to Chinatown for a bite to eat. We’ll go for a taste of Dim Sum at the large and airy Empire Garden, or a similar venue. Riders have the option of either biking back to Newtonville with the ride leader or putting their bikes on the commuter rail from nearby South Station.
Meet in front of the Star Market at 33 Austin St. in Newtonville, and we’ll leave at 11:00 am. This is a family-friendly, “no-rider-left-behind” ride and all ages are invited, but all children must be accompanied by an adult. Bike helmets are required. 20 miles roundtrip, however the route is very flat. Be sure to check bikenewton.org for last-minute changes.
