Bike Newton, in conjunction with the New England Jazz Collaborative and the Boston Harbor Islands National Park invite you to join us on Sunday Aug. 18 for a trip to Long Wharf in Boston and then to George’s Island to hear “Wild Music”.  We will leave Newtonville at 10am, bike to Long Wharf and arrive around 11am, then board a ferry (free with pre-registration) at approx. 11:30am, with the ferry departing at 12 noon for Georges Island.   You can lock up your bike on Long Wharf.   (Bring a lock!)  There will be live music on the ferry to the island, and once on the island feel free to have lunch, explore the island, and listen to some of Boston’s best jazz musicians play to the sound of ocean waves, seagulls and sea breezes.  Ferries return back to Long Wharf at 3pm and 5pm.  (Check the ferry   schedule.Note that riders are not guaranteed a ride leader for the trip back.

If you plan on taking the ferry to George’s Island at 12 noon, below is a link to the EventBrite site to sign up and reserve a free ferry ticket!  We only ask that if you do reserve a ticket for the ferry — please show up and use it, as they are limited!
