Join us for a biking tour of the 2024 Newton Porchfest. We’ll start at the Library on Homer St. and visit a number of bands in Waban, Aurburndale and Lower Falls. The whole tour is scheduled for about 5 hours; riders may bail out early and head home if they need to, or meet up during the ride at one of the stops. Feel free to bring lunch, drinks, snacks. Here is an outline of the planned route:
Meet at Library 330 Homer St., prepare to leave at 12:30 pm
Stop #1: 12:30 pm ride to Porch #23: 1608 Beacon St. Band is: “The Vertigo Trio”.
Stop #2: 1:15 pm ride to Porch #25: 702 Chestnut St. Band is: “The Porch Rockers”
Stop #3: 2:00 pm ride to Porch #13: 545 Grove St. Band is: “Reggaetones”
Stop #4: 3:00 pm ride to Porch #2: 28 Grayson Lane Band is: “iiZi IsReal and Elita Starr of OutaHit”
Stop #5: 4:00 pm ride to Porch #35: 21 Fern St. Band is: “Nate Aronow Nextet” (Hint: Request “Bikin’ the Bike”)
At 5pm ride to the Library at 330 Homer St.
Meet in front of the Newton Main Library on Homer St. in Newton Center, and we’ll leave at 12:30. This is a family-friendly, “no-rider-left-behind” ride and all ages are invited, but all young children must be accompanied by an adult. Bike helmets are required. 10 miles roundtrip. Be sure to check bikenewton.org for any last-minute changes. (Note: Rain Date is June 2nd)
