SUMMARY:Tour de Porchfest Newton-2026
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a tour by bicycle of the Newton PorchFest 2026.   We’ll start at the Library at 330 Homer St. and visit a number of bands in Waban\, Aurburndale\, West Newton and Lower Falls.  The whole tour is scheduled for about 3 hours; riders may bail out early and head home if they want to\, or meet up during the ride at one of the stops.  Feel free to bring lunch\, drinks\, snacks.  The route we take and bands we see can be agreed upon by the group when we meet up.  Bring a map of the Porchfest\, and if you have favorite bands you’d like to see\, we can work that into the route! \nMeet in front of the Newton Main Library on Homer St. in Newton Center  This is a family-friendly\, “no-rider-left-behind” ride and all ages are invited\, but all young children must be accompanied by an adult. SUMMARY:Group Ride - Fresh Pond
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a ride to Fresh Pond in Cambridge using the Watertown-Cambridge Greenway.  We will loop around the pond and head back on the Greenway\, or if the group would like\, we can extend the ride a bit by going through Harvard Square\, take a short break for a cold drink or cup of coffee\,  and then continue along the Charles River paths back to Newton.  You will see how easy and fun it is to get to these delightful places on your bike! \nMeet in front of the Star Market at 33 Austin St\, in Newtonville\, and we’ll leave  at 9:30am. SUMMARY:Group Ride - USS Constitution
DESCRIPTION:We’re riding to the USS Constitution at the Charlestown Navy Yard!    We’ll ride along the Charles River on the Cambridge and Boston sides\, past the Museum of Science\, under the Zakim Bridge and through Paul Revere Park to check out Old Ironsides.  We’ll stay for a short visit and a bite to eat\, then return.  Tours of Old Ironsides are free.  You can also visit the USS CASSIN YOUNG\, a Fletcher Class destroyer docked in the Charlestown Navy Yard while you are there.  Bring a picnic lunch or snack to eat dockside! \nMeet in front of the Star Market at 33 Austin St. Newtonville\, and we’ll leave at 9:30 am.  This is a family-friendly\, “no-rider-left-behind” ride and all ages are invited\, but all young children must be accompanied by an adult.
