A nice ride along the Charles River and Western Ave to the Middle East Corner Bar in hip Central Square Cambridge for jazz lunch - American or Middle Eastern - $8-10, while being entertained by the Nate & Dave Dynamic Duo (Nate can't lead this ride 'cause he's on stage!) Meet in front of the Star Market on Austin St, in Newtonville, and we'll leave promptly at 12 noon. Boston’s Bike to Work Day Festival celebrates National Bike to Work day and is our way of saying, “Thanks for riding your bike today.”
A nice evening ride along the Charles River bike path to Harvard Sq. We can get a bite to eat at the Border Cafe , hang in the Square for a bit, then make our way back to Newtonville. It will probably be dark for the ride back, so make sure you have head and tail lights on your bike, and a light or reflective shirt or jacket. Join us for a pleasant ride to the Boston Common to take part in the March for Truth . Organizers of the event describe it this way: "Gather on Boston Common to join sister rallies from across the country in peaceful demonstration on Saturday, June 3rd. Join with other concerned citizens to RECLAIM OUR DEMOCRACY, to advocate for restoring integrity to its institutions, and to protest the Trump administration's dangerous, destructive policies and actions." A pleasant Loop on the Comm. Carriage lane to Auburndale, through the Cove north to the Charles river path in Waltham, along the river to Newtonville and back to the Library. Meet in front of the Newton Main Library on Homer St. in Newton Center, and we'll leave promptly at 6 PM.
