Join us for a ride that brings together two of life’s pleasures:  Biking and Banh Mi sandwiches!   We’ll ride from the Newton Free library on Homer St. in Newton Center down the Commonweath Ave. carriage lane, around the Chestnut Hill Reservoir in Brighton and back to Newton Center on Beacon St.  Not a long ride, but there are a couple of good hills which should improve your appetite.  In Newton Center we’ll stop at Pho Viet for a take-out Banh Mi sandwich for lunch, and enjoy it at the Newton Center Green.  (Or, for those who would prefer a slice of pizza, Sweet Tomatoes is right next door to Pho Viet!).   When done, we can head back to the library.

Meet in front of the Newton Free Library on Homer St., and we’ll leave at 11:00 am. This is a family-friendly, “no-rider-left-behind” ride and all ages are invited, but all  children must be accompanied by an adult.  Bike helmets are required.  7.5 miles roundtrip.  Be sure to check bikenewton.org for last-minute changes.
